Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information AMnext Studio (“AMnext”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website, amnext.studio, and the work we do for clients. We’ve tried to write it the way we’d explain it to you in person.

The short version: we collect only what we need to talk to you and do the work, we don’t sell it, we don’t use advertising trackers, and you can ask us to see or delete what we hold about you at any time.

Who we are

AMnext is a small independent studio based in India that designs and builds websites, Shopify stores, logos and other graphic design, AI video ads and business automations for clients around the world. For the purposes of data protection law, AMnext is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything here at hello@amnext.studio.

What we collect

When you book a call

Our booking calendar is provided by Cal.com. When you book, you give us your name, your email address, the time you chose, your time zone and your answers to a few short questions about your business and what you need. Cal.com may also record technical details such as your IP address to run its service. We use this to hold the call and prepare for it.

When you email or message us

If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send, along with your email address or phone number and any name attached to your account. We use it to reply and, if we work together, to run the project.

When we work together

During a project we may hold contact details for you and your team, billing details such as your business name and address, and the materials you share with us, like text, photos, logins for services we’re setting up for you, and feedback. We keep logins only as long as the work needs them, and we’d always rather you add us as a user than share your own password.

When you visit this website

We use Umami to count visits and see which pages are read. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not collect personal information. It records things like the page you visited, the site that sent you, your country, your browser and your type of device, in a form that doesn’t identify you.

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like every web host, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Cookies

This website doesn’t set cookies of its own, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you won’t see a cookie banner here. The booking calendar on our contact page is loaded from Cal.com and may use its own cookies or similar storage to work properly while you book. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and hold the call you booked.
• To prepare a plan and a quote, and to do the work we agree on.
• To send invoices and keep the business and tax records the law requires.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use this website so we can improve it.
• To keep our systems and this website secure.

We don’t sell your information, we don’t rent it out, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Our reasons for using it

Where the law asks us to have a reason, ours are: taking steps you’ve asked for before a contract and then carrying out that contract (answering your enquiry, doing your project); our legitimate interest in running and improving a small business (aggregate website statistics, security, keeping records of past work); meeting legal obligations (tax and accounting records); and your consent, where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run the studio. They handle personal information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Cal.com, for booking calls and video meetings.
• Our email provider, and WhatsApp (run by Meta) when you message us there.
• Umami, for cookieless website statistics.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• Wise, which processes the payments you make to us.
• Standard cloud storage and code hosting services, where we keep project files and the code we write for you.
• The platforms we set up for you, such as Shopify, hosting providers or automation tools, when your project needs them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your accounts with them.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute. If AMnext is ever reorganised or taken over, your information would pass to whoever continues the business, under this same policy.

Where your information is kept

We’re based in India, and the services we use store data in several countries, including the United States and the European Union. When your information moves between countries, we rely on the protections those services offer, such as the contractual safeguards required by data protection laws, and we choose providers with a good record on security.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and booking details that don’t lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Project files and messages: for as long as we work together and a reasonable time after, so we can help with changes or questions. Ask us and we’ll delete them sooner.
• Invoices and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Website statistics: kept in Umami in a form that doesn’t identify you.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable services with strong security, turn on two-step sign-in wherever it’s offered, limit access to the people working on your project, and remove access to your accounts when a project ends. No system is perfectly secure, but if something did go wrong with your information, we’d tell you promptly and do what the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR in the EU and UK, and privacy laws in US states such as California), you have rights over your personal information. In plain terms, you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that’s wrong or out of date;
• delete it, unless we have to keep it by law;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to a particular use;
• send it to you or to someone else in a common format;
• withdraw any consent you’ve given.

Email hello@amnext.studio and we’ll reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. It’s free. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right; you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Age

Our website and services are meant for people aged 18 and over who are acting for a business. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think we have, let us know and we’ll delete it.

Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, such as our social media profiles and the tools we mention in our articles. We’re not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so check their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant and we have your email address because we’re working together, we’ll tell you directly.
